Arts Umbrella and the Amazing Glocal

20 05 2009

Hey everybody. Today I’m going to explain what our class has been working on for the last week.

Our class was chosen to take part in an art program called Arts Umbrella where for two weeks we get to learn about photography and other kinds of art. For the last week or so Josh and Franziska (Franziska is her German name her French name is Francesca) have been coming every morning to teach us about photography.

We have been working with a program called Glocal which is where you can choose a grid size and take pictures so that there will be multiple pictures of the same thing in one photo. I think that one of best parts of the Glocal project was working with the web cams because we got to make some illusion type pictures like the picture I took which happens to be the picture included in this post. If I could ever work with the Glocal project again I would probably take some more electricity photos. I would like to thank both Josh and Franziska for an awesome time.
